Hey, everyone, Houser outdoors. And today I have a review on the T Time Scout 3400 benrus scout backpack review.
benrus scout backpack review
As you can see, I’ve got it loaded down right now. I’ll go ahead and take you all down on the ground. Here, take all my contents out of it. We’ll talk about the features of the benrus scout backpack review. All right, everyone, this is the Teton Scout 1400 benrus scout backpack review.
As you can see, it holds a lot of gear for the price, but you can find anywhere from $60 to $75 on Amazon a couple of years ago. I think I got this for about $60. There are three colors. You have the green like I have here. You have the Orange, and then you have a code ten.
The Orange to me looks really good also, but I went with the green. We’ll start on the outside of the pack. On the side here, you have a bottle holder and another bottle holder on this side to show you the size of this bottle holder. This is a clean canteens 40 ounce bottle, and that is the biggest you’re fixing to fit into here. I mean that.

I really stretched it to get that in there.
You have two bungy loops here on the side. You have a pretty good size pocket here that has a nice overhang for the zipper to keep water out of it. I can fit my whole hand down in there and still have plenty of room over on the other side. It’s the same thing. You have a bottle holder, which I have a live straw bottle in here, the same size pocket, and also two Bungie loops on the front.
You have this mesh pocket here that is held on its closed with Velcro. Just one little square Velcro. I have a knife and a saw in there, but you could put wet clothes or something to let those dry out while you’re hiking. You also have shot cord here on the front where you can attach other gear or strap clothing down or something, letting it dry out. There’s also bungee on the top of this bag.
You can really Sinch that down.
You have a very good size, two very good size straps for a bed roll tent or a sleeping bag, whatever. I have a wool blanket on there right now. Then when you undo that, it takes you access this front pocket of the bag where you could put a sleeping bag, hammock, tent, things like that here and still get to it without having to dig through all the contents of the bag on this side. Here you have a drag handle. This is adjustable back.
You just tell Crow that, and then it has all these almost like Molly loops. You can just loop it through there to adjust the height, whatever you need. It’s very lumbar, is very supportive. Nice padded here.
The waist belt is padded also feels really good. You can adjust it to really pull the pack close to you. You can adjust the waist strap. You have 2d rings here on your straps.
The chest strap also stretches a little with movement, which is nice. I think that’s really comfortable. Do you have a pocket right here on the very top of the bag that would be facing the back of your head? It’s the very, very good size pocket. It’s the whole top of the hood here.
It’s a pocket back to the front. There is another pocket on the inside of the put here. It’s not as big as the one on the very top, but it is still very generous. You can put quite a bit of stuff in there.
This bag will stretch pretty good to where you could fit a lot of stuff in here. You can see you can fit a whole lot more items in here than what I have. This is the internal frame. Got a dry bag with some food Cook set under quilt.
And that is all that I have in here. You also this has a spot for a high hydration bladder right here above where you adjust the height of it. There’s this little pocket. That’s where you can run your hose out and run it down the side of the strap. Excuse me.
I got a splinter.
There is a red piece of Velcro inside the bag where it will hold the hydration bladder up instead of just letting it SAG down. There is a pocket for the hydration bladder inside here. And then there is a shelf that separates this bottom compartment from the top compartment, which I think is really nice, very well thought out. And that’s the only you you don’t have any pockets in here Besides where the hydration bladder goes inside this pocket here, I have my hammock straps, hammock and a tarp as you also a pillow.
As you can see, you can fit a ton of stuff in this bag.
This does stretch some so you could fit bigger items in here, you know, a bigger sleeping bag or whatnot. So it does stretch a little bit. The zippers are seem a very, very good quality. It’s very nice overhang on the zip or two to keep water out.
Here. On the bottom, there is a a piece of material here that says rain cover.
It’s Velcro together.
Pull that out. It stays attached to right there inside the rain cover. You can take it out if you didn’t like that.
Very nice for the price that it includes the rain cover. I mean, you can spend a whole lot more on bags and not get a rain over. And as you can see, it fits great. There’s plenty of room to put all my gear back in here and attach more gear. Put more gear in there and this would still fit over.
It just fine with ease. And then when you’re done with it, just pull that all of it loose, wad it up and stuff it right back in instead of it being Velcro right here. I do wish that this was a zipper. That’d be a lot. Do row is not my biggest thing when you have a pocket.
You know, it’s nice for right here. Just keeping this little mesh pouch shut. Yeah, Velcro is nice, but on something like that where it’s long and you’re having to hold something in like a zipper. You can since this bag down in a lot of spaces place. Excuse me.
If you’re not using, you know, have a bed roll or a sleeping bag or ten on the outside. You can pinch this down and fold these up. Put a piece of tape around them so they won’t be hanging or something. But just all in all a great, great bag for the price and what all you get. There’s just so many features and so many useful things you can use with this pack.

Color: BlackThis backpack is protective and it has a decent amount of storage room. However, about 3 months into owning this, one of the buttons broke. I’m fairly happy with the backpack.HelpfulReport abuseH. T.2.0 out of 5 stars Vinyl trim…
Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2016Color: BlackJust bought this from a local store. I thought I was buying a leather and nylon backpack. Instead this is vinyl trim. What a tremendous disappointment. I realize this was my mistake but it LOOKS like leather
. I do not expect this to last long, I am certain the vinyl will soon crack, it always does. Does look good, so I gave it an extra star.
It has a lining, also made of nylon, sort of a bag within a bag. I almost did not buy because the shoulder straps have only one stitch across the top to hold the strap to the body of the bag, not a good sign, But since it was a Benrus I bought it. Made in Viet Nam by the way.
